2018 State of Jobs Conference on October 30th in Sarasota, Fl

The nation's largest conference focused on college and career development.

Welcome to the 5th Anniversary of the State of Jobs Conference! SOJC brings together the areas top leaders to speak with hundreds of students from 2 dozen schools to help them understand their future. This year’s conference will focus on six tracks for students to select from including:

  • Information Technology
  • Healthcare
  • Business/Entrepreneurship
  • Engineering
  • Arts/Design
  • Hospitality/Tourism

In addition to student’s track selections, they will have a networking roundtable with executives from the region, a leadership keynote, and a professional development panel discussion.

This year, we’re excited to welcome the addition of Mind the Gap, an initiative of BIG (Bright Ideas on the Gulf Coast). Mind the Gap will welcome over 300 college students for a program focused on networking with the region’s top executives. The goal of Mind the Gap is to help retain some of the top talent being produced by our incredible higher education institutions.

#stateofjobs is a one day conference focused on delivering high school students a real conference experience in preparation for understanding their opportunities in college and careers. In addition, we've now included Mind the Gap focused on delivering college students with the opportunities to networking with area executives, participate in mock interviews, and help them develop better resumes.
